Booklovers Toolbox. A Lot More Than Books.

Booklovers welcome to TriinaboBEEna.  I have been in the independent bookstore industry most of my life. On Pinterest there are several people posting about how to open a bookstore.  Many of the articles just hit the surface, therefore I will share tools that will take you deeper.   The resources I will share, helped me know if I could afford to open a bookstore.

Booklovers book with heart shape.

The majority of this site/blog will be dedicated to the independent bookstore, the neighborhood bookstore.  I did all the research to determine if it is the right time and place for me to open a bookstore.  You will know all the steps I took and the end result.  This work is important to the success of any new small business.  I utilized excellent tools and I am not going to reinvent the wheel.  I am going to send you to the experts so you can learn it all.

Recent research shows that independent bookstores are successful because they engage their community, they are good neighbors.

If you already have a neighborhood bookstore this will be a place for you to share your successes in your community.  Indie Bookstores belong to a family and therefore, sharing of ideas is acceptable and encouraged.  We will stay away from pricing issues and proprietary content and concentrate on events and programs that encourage community engagement.

I will be sharing some ideas that I want to utilize (when/if I open a store). Additionally, I will be compiling and sharing programs, happenings and other concepts that you may want to adopt for your store.  All ideas are in the blog menu.

I look forward to a strong future of neighborhood bookstores!
